Dear Young people,

The time of youth is that of desires and dreams. It’s nice to discover that we have great desires inside our hearts because we are made for great things. We are made for happiness, beauty, justice, and what is true. Life is a great adventure!

The word “desire” is crucial: it relates to the stars (de-sidera). So, having a desire means, aiming at the Stars. Desire makes us think about infinity. Desire pushes us out of ourselves and makes us walk with other young people toward infinite horizons. Dreaming is the ability to imagine how desires can be realized along the path of life.

I invite you to be faithful to your wishes and desires. Have the courage not to stop at the surface of things but to go deeper and discover the secrets of life! You will discover that at the origin of your desires and your dreams, there is the mystery of God himself: He made us for great things, and our heart remains restless until it encounters God.

Dear young people, I invite you to join the YAM (Young Adult Ministry) to walk together with other young people, to dream together of a more beautiful and just world. Let’s follow Jesus together as the People of God on the way. He knows what is in our hearts. He is the great faithful friend of our youth who accompanies us to realize together the desire for happiness and a good life that unites us.
